Sowing
Sow indoors about 6 weeks before the last frost (NDSU); seed is tiny, so press into the surface and do not bury it.
Care and transplanting
Plant out when frost has passed. Oregano flavour is stronger in full sun and poor, dry soil.
Problems
Leggy, pale plants need more sun. Many seed-raised oregano plants are mild; buy or divide a named plant for flavour.
Saving seed
Let flowers dry on the plant and rub out the seed.
