Sowing
Thyme seed is tiny and slow. Surface-sow or barely cover, keep damp, and transplant seedlings out rather than direct sowing (Johnny's).
Care and transplanting
Needs sun and sharp drainage. Trim after flowering.
Problems
Damping off in a heavy mix; use a fine, light seed-starting mix. Wet soil rots roots.
Saving seed
Seed ripens after the flowers fade.
