Sowing
Johnny's recommends direct sowing after danger of frost, ¼ in deep, with 2 to 3 sowings two weeks apart for flowers all summer to heavy frost.
Care and transplanting
Deadhead to keep blooming. Petals are edible.
Problems
Powdery mildew late in the season. Plants tire in summer heat but bounce back in autumn.
Saving seed
Collect the curved seeds when dry; calendula self-sows.
