Sowing
Direct-sow after the last frost, ½ to 1 in deep (Johnny's). Nasturtium dislikes transplanting; if you start early, use peat-free biodegradable pots.
Care and transplanting
Poor soil makes more flowers; rich soil makes leaves. Trailing types will climb or spill.
Problems
Aphids cluster on stems; wash off. Few flowers means too much feed or shade.
Saving seed
Large seed ripens on the plant and falls; collect it when pale and dry.
